HIGINIA R. PACHECO
It is with great sadness that the family of Higinia R. Pacheco announces her passing.
SAN JUAN – Higinia R. Pacheco, 85, died Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Amara Hospice Inpatient Facility in Edinburg.

Mrs. Pacheco was born in San Juan and lived there all of her life. Higinia was a lovely wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed and loved forever, and will always live in our hearts and memories.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Alfredo Pacheco; her parents, Maximo and Felicita Alvarado Rodriguez; a sister, Marta Torres; three brothers, Tino Handy, Antonio and Santiago Rodriguez.
Higinia is survived by ten children, Jose Manuel (Maria L.) Pacheco, Maria (Andres) Hernandez, Alfredo (Belinda) Pacheco, all of San Juan, Alberto (Linda) Pacheco of Hastings, Michigan, Juanita (Juan) Ortega, Criselda Cruz, Angelina Pacheco, Rosalinda (Alfredo) Caracho, all of Arlington, Evangelina (Martin) Rodriguez of Alamo, Esmeralda Madrigal of Fort Worth; 44 grandchildren; 83 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Juan Rodriguez of San Juan.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Sunday, March 18, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2018, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
