MARGARITA MUNOZ
SAN JUAN – Margarita Munoz, 88, died Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at her residence in San Juan.
Born in D’Hanis, Texas, she had lived in San Juan for 22 years and was formerly of Las Milpas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Servando Munoz; a daughter, Irma Munoz; and a son, Roberto Munoz.
Mrs. Munoz is survived by her six children, Julia Munoz of Modesto, California, Jaime (Elvia) Munoz of Edinburg, Nancy (Paul) Anderson of North Plains, Oregon, Cris (John) Cater of Eastaboga, Alabama, Servando Munoz, Jr. of Dallas, Sylvia (Rogelio) Rios of San Juan; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Matilde Martinez Gamez of Laredo; two brothers, Francisco Gamez of Brownsville and Simon Gamez of Florida.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
