Obituary for Catalina Lopez

Catalina Lopez
PHARR – Catalina Pesina Lopez, 85, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Born in Yorktown, Texas, she had lived in Pharr most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Eliseo M. Lopez; a son, Rogelio Lopez; and six siblings, Patricio Pesina, Natividad Fuentez, Eluterio Pesina, Eduardo Pesina, Romaldo Pesina and Maria Gonzalez.
Catalina is survived by six children, Jose E. (Bonnie) Lopez of Mandeville, Louisiana, Rafael (Melinda) Lopez, Joel (Martha) Lopez, both of San Juan, Saragosa Lopez, Samuel (Alicia) Lopez, Carmel (Antonio) Juarez, all of Pharr; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Macario Pesina of Streamwood, IL.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Friday, October 7, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 8, 2016, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
